The Oelwein Municipal Dog Park was established in 2019 in the southeast corner of City Park located on the south side of Oelwein. The dog park was completely funded by donations and grants! This park is a half-acre off-leash facility with room to run and negotiate various obstacles. The dog park is enclosed with 4’ chain-link fence with two areas established, one for smaller dogs and one for larger dogs. All animals are to be licensed with the City of Oelwein and have their tags on them. Purchase your license and tags at the Oelwein Police Department at 510 Rock Island Road. No vicious animals are allowed. Patrons are expected to clean up after their pets to help keep the facility clean for the next user.
